WILLINGTON BOWLS CLUB
(Crown Green Bowling)

About Us

We are a long established club. Our actual origins are a little unclear as early records have
been lost. We know the club was formed sometime between the first and second world wars.
We also know that the green was closed during the second world war to grow potatoes to
aid the war effort , reopening soon after the war finished.

Our members have the choice of playing competitive bowls or just playing a leisurely game
with friends. Or if you wish, both. For those members who want to play competitive league
bowling we have teams entered in leagues which play on Sunday mornings, Monday
afternoons and Wednesday evenings.

You are never too young or too old to bowl. Our membership covers all age groups from
Junior to Senior, Male and Female. No such thing as an “Old Man’s” sport.
